Traditional formulas and records
A way of caring for yourself — while enjoying good food, good drink, good company, and good times.
本秘方 explores a new tea ritual around drinking, shaped by Korean medicine formulation principles and real drinking experience.
We drink for taste and aroma, for good food, and for the people we share the table with.
At 本秘方, we do not believe tonight and tomorrow should come at each other’s expense. Living well is not about drinking more. It is about knowing how to enjoy a good moment without wearing yourself out.
本秘方 began with the formulation experience of our lead Korean medicine practitioner.
After personally trying traditional formulas long used around drinking and hangover care, he began reworking them for the way people drink and live today.
Rather than reproduce a single old prescription, he studied the role each ingredient played within a formula, then repeatedly refined the balance and proportions through actual drinking.
We begin with traditional formulas recorded in classical texts, understanding how each ingredient works within the whole, then taste, observe, and refine.

A good drinking occasion has its own rhythm.
You fill the glass, share food, let the conversation unfold,
and slowly bring the evening to a close.
本秘方 is designed to become part of that rhythm, naturally.
Alongside food and drink, it is made not to overpower their character,
but to leave more room for aroma and flavor to come through.
A cup of tea adds another texture to the table —
something to share naturally with the people around you.
That is why 本秘方 begins as tea.
The wisdom of formulation, learned from traditional prescriptions,
in a form that belongs naturally at today’s table.
This is what being a Bon Vivant means to us.
Enjoying tonight while still caring about tomorrow.
Not something that lets you drink more, but a ritual for enjoying well, for longer.
Not a private remedy, but a tea made to be shared with good company.
